Weight parts: 100g resin / 50g hardener
Service life (processing time): at 20°C approx. 18h
Start of hardening approx. 20 hours (depending on temperature)
Final strength approx. 72 hours (depending on temperature)
The most optimal workplace for large castings (river sills, window sills, etc. 10+ kg of casting volume ) has a temperature of 18-20° C , the best 15-16° C.
Mix together the components epoxy resin (component A) and hardener (component B) according to the parts by weight indicated on the package. The weight parts of Epoxy ONE are 100:50, i.e. 50g of hardener must be added to 100g of resin. Mix well for 3-5 minutes until the epoxy is uniformly transparent. 99% of failed projects are due to lack of mixing.
Before pouring the mixed epoxy into the mold, you can let the mixture stand for a few minutes so that most of the mold can ventilate naturally. Carefully pour the ready-mixed epoxy into the mold. If necessary, heat the surface with a torch to get rid of the bubbles that have formed on the surface. You can repeat this if necessary until it gels.
For optimal results, the resin should be mixed only at room temperature.
If the resin and hardener are too cold (below 5 °C), the hardening process may slow down or even stop.
The golden rule of epoxy consumption is 1kg = 1mm = 1m2
When working with epoxy, always wear personal protective equipment.
If you are not sure what kind of epoxy you need, please contact us and we will help you find out.
ATTENTION!
Epoxy, which has been in transit from the cold, can crystallize!
Resin crystallization is a common phenomenon. This does not make the resin worse or more cloudy. The cleaner the resin, the more common the crystallization.
Crystals can be eliminated by increasing the temperature of the resin to about 50-65°C until all the crystals are gone. We recommend placing the package in a hot water bath (approx. 50-65 °C), but be careful that the package is tightly closed and water cannot come into contact with the resin. Check the resin after 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 1 hour. It usually only takes 20-40 minutes to remove the crystals and make the resin completely transparent. Note that this will not damage the epoxy or affect its properties. It also won't harden because you haven't mixed the material with the hardener yet.
Allow the resin to cool to room temperature, then continue to use normally.
Solidified epoxy strength class is 80 Shore D, DIN ISO7619-1

Epoxy One resin is a premium class epoxy resin produced in Estonia.
Epoxy One has a very low viscosity, which ensures quick ventilation of air bubbles after mixing. Pure and high-quality raw materials provide crystal-clear and long-lasting transparency. The maximum possible amount of HALS and UV stabilizers have been added to protect against yellowing. Thanks to the highest UV protection, it can be used almost anywhere. Epoxy One resin system is tuned for easy use 2:1 (100g resin : 50g hardener).
